Perfecting our Wine Portfolio
François Bélisle has judged in wine competitions in Canada and internationally for more than twenty years.
Certified Wine Judge and member of Wine Judges of Canada, graduate of the Wine & Spirit Education Trust WSET Level 3 Award in Wines, French Wine Scholar, Spanish Wine Scholar, and Italian Wine Scholar, he was awarded the highest level of distinction in each of these professional designations.
As a WSET- and WSG-certified wine educator, Francois teaches at Vendange Institute, in Ottawa (http://www.vendangeinstitute.com/instructors.html).
François holds a PhD in Geography and has traveled extensively in the world’s wine-producing regions to study the notion of terroir and how soil, climate and topography interact to influence wine characteristics and quality.
François works with the Œnosphere team in selecting wines for our Grocery portfolio and when responding to SAQ calls for tender.
